Chris Vairo, Chief Revenue Officer at Signature Performance, was recently named as a Community Board of Directors member at CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center – Bergan Mercy. Vairo will be serving a two-year term and is one of 14 board members.

Vairo’s role on the board will be to support and facilitate effective communication between community members, the hospital and the CHI Health System Leadership team while ensuring the availability of high-quality medical care to the community.   The board is comprised of community leaders including doctors, nurses, business owners, and executives. Hal Daub, former Mayor of Omaha, is also currently a board member.

The board meets monthly and is currently meeting virtually due to COVID-19 restrictions. Vairo says that a lot of what is being discussed is what the overall impacts of COVID-19 will be and new services the hospital system will be making available.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to be in the depths of strategic discussions around a national hospital system that is also serving our local community,” Vairo said. “Serving on the board is an honor and also a great way to represent Signature Performance in our community.”

Over the years, Vairo has made it a top priority to serve the community. He is a former board member and past president of The Ronald McDonald House in Omaha and has been a leader in supporting local philanthropy efforts such as the National MS Society, March of Dimes, and The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. He is looking forward to expanding his network within the healthcare industry and being surrounded by influential members of the community.

“By being surrounded with the CHI board members from our community, I will be exposed to amazing talent. This will lead to expanding my network, strengthening my professional credibility, sharpening my professional skills, and gaining additional insight into healthcare from a hospital perspective.”
