With your Service Contract Act (SCA) employment status, to supplement the premium costs in the offered benefit plans, you earn a Health and Welfare (H&W) fixed hourly rate, up to 40 hours a week. This income is intended to help cover the costs of benefit premiums and ensure that you have access to the healthcare and other benefits you need.
If you choose not to participate in our benefit plans or don't use the full H&W allocation for benefits, any remaining H&W funds will be paid out as additional income, subject to applicable taxes. However, we encourage you to use this amount towards our comprehensive benefit offerings to maximize the value for you and your family. If you have questions about how the H&W rate affects your compensation or benefits, our Talent Operations team is available to assist you.
